Cancelling and refunds
Plain answers on cancelling a plan, what happens to your credits, and getting money back.
!Billing hasn’t opened yet. Nobody is charged during early access. This page describes how it works once it does.
Cancel any time
Cancel from Plan & usage in your account. Your plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to Free.
Nothing you wrote is deleted or locked: your books, chapters, story notes and history stay. Change your mind before the end date and the plan simply carries on.
Yearly plans
Cancelling a yearly plan stops the next renewal. You keep the plan until the end of the year you paid for. The unused months aren’t refunded, except where the law where you live requires it.
Credits
Plan credits come with the plan and end when it ends. Credits you buy in packs never expire, and stay in your balance after you cancel.
Asking for a refund
We refund in full: duplicate charges, charges after a cancellation took effect, and a billing period in which the service was down for you for 72 hours or more because of us. A credit pack can be refunded within 14 days if none of its credits were used. Unused months of a yearly plan aren’t refunded, except where the law where you live requires it.
Charged by mistake, or something went wrong? Write to [email protected] with the email on your account and the date of the charge, and tell us what happened.
If a payment is refunded, the plan it paid for ends and the plan credits it gave are removed. Credits from packs you bought separately aren’t touched.
